On the banks of the Hérault river and at the foot of the hills lies Paulhan, a circular village with more than a thousand years of history. Its charm overwhelms us as soon as we walk through the narrow, steep streets, occupied by houses, the oldest of which date from the 15th century. Before leaving the centre, you will notice the red brick halls, really unusual in this stone region. Following the signs from the N9, the Notre-Dame-des-Vertus chapel appears. Its construction dates back to the 12th century, except for the bell tower, which is more recent.
