At the very beginning of the 16th century, the castle of Chessy was built on the initiative of Jean de Fourcy, lord of Chessy and Pommeuse, but above all, a specialist in architecture and superintendent of the Buildings of King Henry IV. He added the outbuildings, independent of the castle and surrounded by ditches filled with water. The Revolution passes through and the last lord of Chessy, Jean-Joseph de La Borde, is beheaded in 1794. The castle is razed between 1799 and 1815. Only the outbuildings remain today, housing the SAN du Val d'Europe. The north wing was remodeled in 1932 and, with the dovecote of the twelfth century, it gives a remarkable aspect.
