" No one comes out of Suresnes, who often does not come back ", says the motto of this city at the borders formed by the Seine and the Bois de Boulogne on one side, Mount Valérien on the other, explaining its difference between 29 and 163 m. It must also have its name to surisnas, a Latin word which evokes the" small sources "flowing from Mount Valérien. Originally, this residential commune was only a small town of fishermen and boatmen before being, gradually, overtaken by the city since the end of the th century. In particular, it has a dynamic theatre that bears the name of Jean Vilar, one of the fathers of the National People's Theatre (NPT), which settled here some time in the 1950 s. From the heights of their city, the Suresnois, whose total number exceeds 48 000, have a breathtaking view of Paris.
