The municipality of Saint-Martin has only existed since 1868. It is the castle, the church of Saint-Martin and La Lézarde, the Norse bekkr that have given this place both its origin and its history. The church is perched on the heights of the current village and dominates the pond forming part of the moat of the castle to the north. In one span, its proportions will recall other Cauchois churches, elongated, with low ceilings, here brushed with a holy virgin blue, deliciously passed.
