The village is very charming, with its oven, wash-houses and small chapels scattered throughout its four hamlets. Clinging for centuries to their rocky outcrop, Ville-di-Paraso and its hamlets (Rustu, Olivacce, Querci and San Roccu) are planted with majestic, centuries-old trees: umbrella pines, palm trees, cedars of Lebanon, olive trees and eucalyptus. The village, its Baroque parish church, San Simone, and its superb bell tower were immortalized by the painter Utrillo, in a painting that can be seen today at the Prado Museum in Madrid. It's a haven of peace where time seems to stand still!
