Composed of two charming terraced hamlets on the mountainside which offer a beautiful view of Ajaccio. Its surroundings have some beautiful prehistoric sites, such as the dolmen which dominates the Valle Bughja. In the surroundings, one can reach the Santu-Stefanu chapel and the San-Lusorio hermitage, along the pass road between the village and Sari-d'Orcino. The walk allows you to discover the landscape along the mule tracks. Sarrola-Carcopino was the homeland of many personalities including the historian Jerome Carcopino, a specialist of ancient Rome, who played a great role in the rediscovery of the archaeological riches of Corsica.
