LE QUAI DES PECEAUX
Read moreThis beautiful wharf derives its name from the échalas of the vineyard which occupied all the slopes of the surroundings of Modèle, until the end of the th century. These "guardians" were kept in the ground, to strengthen them. On the walk, we can see the last trace of the ramparts: A tower, whose corbeaux, supporting the round road, are still present. This picturesque area is characterized by water because Modèle is built on the edge of the Marne, the longest French river. The stone houses that have been built on each side, above its level, are reflected in the arms of the Marne and worth its nickname of Petite Venice. During the beautiful season, the colorful flowers that parent the windows of the houses offer a pleasant spectacle.

PFISTER HOUSE
Read moreThis emblematic house for its architecture and its frescoes dates from the 16th century. It owes its name to the family that occupied it from 1841 to 1892. With a turret, a wooden gallery and biblical paintings, it leaves people speechless when they come to admire it. The first floor is a store and the upper floors are not open to the public. But no matter, Christian Vacksterffer, the painter, offers us a visual beauty of several centuries, right before our eyes. It's like being in a movie set!

THE CASTLE
Read moreIt's hard to imagine that on this great square, the beautiful building is just the city hall. However, you can take a look at the lobby at the opening hours of the city hall, but private rooms will stay. For the rest, the mayor organizes a guided tour of the entire castle during heritage days and increasingly opens his park to demonstrations. He was formerly owned by Dupré, boss of the knitted industries of Romilly-sur-Seine, before being bought by the City in 1948. The façade, with a beautiful perron, is a privileged space for photographs, space for a moment, you will take a chateau. A beautifully beautifully decorated park is open to the public every day, then enjoy the promenade to see on the back wall, the impacts of bullets and shells, stigma of the Campaign de France. The pigeon is also a beautiful piece. The church is right next door, so you're still trotting a little!
