Humanist library, listed on Unesco's Memory of the World Register, with 6 permanent exhibition spaces.
Founded in 1452 and housed in the Corn Exchange since 1889, the Humanist Library has been listed on Unesco's Memory of the World Register since 2011 for the part of its collections bequeathed by the humanist Beatus Rhenanus (1485-1547). Placed under the aegis of this scholar, the museographical tour unveils unique collections in six permanent exhibition spaces, including around a hundred medieval manuscripts and over 1,600 printed works dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. The Treasury unveils the most precious works thanks to a brand-new digital device!
