In Champagne, the lighthouses do not signal the coast, but hillsides! Built on a promontory, that of Verzenay, built in 1909, was an advertising achievement for the Joseph-Goulet branch house. After climbing its 101 steps, admire the superb 360-degree panorama. At a height of 25 m, the lighthouse overlooks the sea of vines and in the distance you can see a mill, villages, fields, a town and a cathedral. Then, head to the Vine Museum for an audio-guided tour in the heart of the Champagne vineyards and sparkling wine tasting.

Information on VERZENAY LIGHTHOUSE

Closed to the public from January 1 to 31, except for groups of 10. Low season: open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 am to 5 pm. High season: every day from 10am to 6.30pm. Free for children up to 6 years old. Adult: 9 €. Child (from 6 to 16 years old): 5 €. Reduced rate: €7.50.

Phare au milieu des vignes

Original, très bel endroit de dégustation. Vous pouvez parcourir le beau jardin et visiter le phare. Exposition sur la vigne. Endroit très moderne.

Belle vue sur les alentours

Le phare de Verzenay est associé à un musée sur la Champagne, son histoire et la culture du raisin bien évidemment. Le phare offre une belle vue sur les vignes situées aux alentours.
