Essentially a wine-growing village, known for its 100% classified Pinot Noir Grand Cru, Verzenay is surrounded by vines, except in the southern part, where it is crowned by the Montagne de Reims forest. Some 500 hectares of vines are cultivated here by 250 winegrowers, including 85 harvesters and handlers, as well as by leading champagne brands who own vineyards or buy highly sought-after grapes to produce their prestige cuvées. This hillside village is dominated by a windmill and a lighthouse, making it easy to spot. From these two sites, you can admire the panorama, the vineyards and the Champagne plain.
