Castle overlooking the Moselle valley, one of the most prized residences of the Dukes of Lorraine with loophole towers, animations

Built on a rocky promontory overlooking the Moselle valley, the château offers a magnificent vantage point from which to admire the picturesque streets nearby. It is also one of the few ancient forts in Eastern France to have kept its architecture almost intact. The château was a favorite residence of the Dukes of Lorraine. Today, to bring life and sparkle to the château, a number of events are organized, including torchlight tours and treasure hunts!

Castello in gran parte restaurato e con una bellissima vista sulla Mosella e sulla foresta circostante. Non vi è rimasto granché se non quasi nulla in termini di stanze ma si può fare una piacevolissima passeggiata lungo le mura del castello e salire su una delle torri rimaste. Gentilissima la ragazza alla cassa che parla anche italiano. Le aspettative erano piuttosto basse, ma sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso. Occorre sicuramente andare in un giorno di sole per avere un ricordo molto positivo.

Ayant décidé de visiter plusieurs monuments pour ces vacances je me suis lancé en commençant par ce château et c'est une visite à faire au moins une fois par an, malgré le temps pluvieux ou la chaleur la visite (libre) était génial et on remercie le personnel qui nous expliquer certaines périodes de l'histoire lié au château et qui nous a conseillé de visiter d'autres endroits !
