Founded in 1981, Maison Asselot is the most famous ambassador of the genuine andouille de Vire, regularly awarded laurels of excellence in regional and national competitions. Then comes son Pierre, who has created a free-range poultry farm and, in 2019, opened a pretty boutique dedicated to local produce in an old cider press on the edge of the D579. Here you'll also find the whole family's superb farm produce for direct sale. A counter that works wonders!

At last, an elegant, warm and welcoming tearoom, where you can indulge in Maud and Brice's pastries (they've been in the business for over 20 years, so you can taste these marvels with your eyes closed!) But Bibiche is so much more. Tearoom, patisserie, café gourmand and brunch, from breakfast to afternoon tea, for sweet and savoury eaters alike, the address will delight all palates and appetites. The delicacies are lovingly prepared with top-quality, seasonal and mostly local ingredients. We don't know about you, but we love it!

New in 2023, we double the pleasure with the opening of a second boutique on rue Froide. We choose this house for special occasions, or for a little comfort after a long day! ! These puffs are real jewels, renewed according to the occasions by relying on seasonal products. This cheese shop needs no introduction! after 50 years (54 in fact), the current owners have been offering us a real treat for the eyes and taste buds for 10 years: the scent of the store soon awakens our stomachs! Well-known to Caennais locals, this Case has been serving up delicious beverages since 2005. The Norman terroir is showcased: Roger Groult's Réserve Ancestrale (served at the Élysée Palace, please!), Père Jules, cider from Jocelyne and Pascal Breton (well and truly Norman!)... What an extraordinary storefront! Designed by the same artist as Maison du Biscuit, it plays on the convenience store's old-fashioned charm. And when you get a little closer, you'll notice owner Florian Lajoye's tribute to his parents, who were cream-makers by trade, and whose (delicious!) Manche butter he sells. From Sablés d'Asnelles to caramels d'Isigny, Florian makes a point of promoting more and more delicious local products on his shelves! Year after year, Rémi Chapuis' patisserie-chocolaterie remains a favourite. With your senses on alert, you wander around the store with one fixed idea in mind: try everything! You'll have to choose between the éclairs or the margaux, the macarons or the praline rochers, the chocolates with fragrant ganaches or Guillaume's Conquest, THE house specialty. Hard work! But the smile and welcome of Sandrine, the owner, and the certainty of coming back make the ordeal surmountable.

First and foremost, as the name suggests, you'll find excellent cakes here. Made with local produce, they come in many shapes and sizes. But you can also buy the excellent Cotentine tart, the making of which remains a secret, or the new version of flan! Beyond that, a whole range of excellent products from the Manche region are on offer. You can also take advantage of the terrace.

Once you enter, spices and olives spread their delicious scents between tapenades, homemade taramas and oriental pastries. Moreover, you will not escape the small loukoum of the sultan, the date or the toast of houmous, generously offered by way of welcome by Slim and Sonia, diet abstain! It is as a guest that we discover the treasures nestled in the alcoves of this palace, impossible to resist the Berber hospitality. Do not leave without a bottle of natural geranium water to perfume your fruit and vegetable salads, a rarity!

It is under the leadership of Christophe Henninger that this beautiful chocolate factory is a reference in the Perche region. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, you will enjoy the inventive and very professional team of chocolatiers and pastry chefs. Among the specialties: praline candies, ganaches, macarons, saint-honoré, chocolate tarts and some new products such as chocolate bars with caramelized hazelnuts. Also maintained, the very close collaboration with the greatest chocolate houses: we love it.

Established in 1976, Maison Jollit is one of Rouen's finest cheese makers! As well as maturing all its own cheeses, the store has a vast selection of farmhouse cheeses from Normandy: pont-l'évêque, neufchâtel, farmhouse tomes... sourced directly from producers. Other cheeses are also well represented: vieux comté, chèvre.... Cheese lovers will find invaluable advice here. In 2018, Daniel Bourgeois even won the Grand Prix de l'Artisanat, the jury's favourite.

The house Héloin is appreciated by all the great Norman gourmands since 1830. You can find melting chocolate bites, chocolate blocks by weight (dark, white, milk...), golden blocks, fruit jellies, calissons, old-fashioned candies (grey paste, licorice, violets...), Rouen apple sugars... And a multitude of other gourmet products to offer to yourself or to your loved ones. This confectionery is, since many years, a real institution of the old Rouen, especially as the reception is particularly pleasant!

The place has recently undergone major renovations, and the shop now has a new face, very modern and refined. The house, well-known for its chocolates, also offers homemade ice creams here. You will have to choose among the choice of flavours offered but once tasted, there will be others, the house has developed throughout the seasons. You can taste ice creams, pancakes and waffles, with a nice terrace just in front of the shop. We can only recommend this real institution of the city.

Another rarity we can boast! Run by Jean-Marc, a qualified naturopath-herbalist, it's the ideal haunt for lovers of gentle methods and natural medicines. Cosmetics, dietetics, essential oils, cleaning products and other health supplements, as well as everything related to organic products and well-being. On the grocery side: seeds, herbal teas, cereals, pulses... and a few bulk products. And for further information, books are also on sale.

This producer of apples and pears is part of the Welcome on the farm network. You can pick up, in season, and on the weekend, up to 15 different varieties of apples on the tree. On site, a store offers direct sale of apples, pears, apple juice, pear juice, apple jelly, gingerbread, honey and vegetables from exploitation, as well as cider, pommel, calvados and apple cream manufactured by a local producer.

In the immediate vicinity of the Mont, while restaurants, hotels and tourist shops are legion, supermarkets and means of obtaining everyday consumer goods are more scarce. And here, more than anywhere else, it is important to anticipate and prepare your visit to the site! Les Galeries du Mont-Saint-Michel is a succession of shops where you'll find just about everything, and which includes several signs: a large bakery / sandwich shop, and a vast store - whose dimensions are reminiscent of a supermarket - where you'll find savoury and sweet products, a bookshop area... nothing is missing. From here, you can take the shuttles (right in front of you) to reach the Mount in a few minutes.

Along the pretty roads of Auge, you must stop here! Père Jules was born just after the First World War, when Jules Desfrièches was selling cider from the Auge region to Le Havre. After the farm cider, Jules started distilling to make Calvados. The reputation and excellence of the beverage are passed on by word of mouth, from generation to generation. Today, Guillaume is the fourth to carry the family flag. Calvados from 3 to 40 years old, cider, pommeau and perry: give in to the temptation of a tasting.

For almost 30 years, this independent wine merchant has been taking us on a journey to the heart of the vineyards, overlooking... the sea, the lighthouse and the port. Over 300 wines from the best grape varieties of our terroirs in this Ali-Baba (rne) cellar, 90% of them from small growers. Local wines (do you know Coteaux du Giennois?) or grands crus, spirits, ciders, beers from local brewers, rums from overseas and elsewhere, there's something for every palate and every budget. There's nothing flashy about it, but the presentation is neat and tidy, with regular new arrivals.

A great place, which changed ownership last February, with Félix taking over from Manu! We might as well say it straight away, but the characteristic smell will quickly remind you: there's little or no cheese missing here. Whatever the pasta, the origin, the flavor, the animal (goat, sheep, cow), the choice is vast, and the possibilities multiple, since this cellar offers the preparation of entire trays. In addition, eggs, other dairy products and dried fruit complete the range, which is decidedly unrivalled!

Sébastien Lerat, a former car worker and Best Coffee Roaster in France in 2013, owns the most attractive coffee shop in the region. Filter coffee machines, Italian coffee machines, espresso machines, discovery workshops, capsules compatible with the major brands, but also coffee beans and ground coffee from all continents, or loose tea and other infusions, the Brûlerie de Bernay is the favourite shop of coffee lovers, but not only! You can also find teas, herbal teas, as well as a complete collection of cups and teapots.

In the family of small, independent and friendly shops on Rue Froide, I'd like to mention Les Cousins! Come and visit Alice and Brice (real cousins, yes, yes!), who have opened this pretty grocery store. All smiles, it's a pleasure to chat with them and discover their superb selection of local and seasonal products. Fruits and vegetables, skinless sausages, cheeses, flours, beers and even herbal teas. Normandy is favoured, otherwise it's always from France, or at least organic and sustainable. A great place!

Always so much craze for these Baratineurs! Catering service at noon, aperitif on Friday and Saturday, brunch on Sunday... For the rest, you will find good home-made butter, milk, fresh cream, faisselles... from local productions and tempting cheeses! Without forgetting the delicatessen and the trendy products and especially, of the season. All washed down with cider or a local beer on the terrace. No churning here, but churning!

Do you dream of a dozen oysters, mussels, langoustines or a handful of shrimps? Go to Le Vivier. You will fill up with iodine, all year round, even on Sundays, morning and afternoon. Since 1958 and three generations, the Colleville family has been treating you to shellfish and seafood straight from their water. Take the time to walk around the basins in the basement of the house. Le Vivier also has a tasting room, "La Cabane du Vivier", installed on the same level facing the sea...

The store in Martinvast is the meeting place for gourmets! In the shelves of this shop, which is definitely not like the others, quality poultry, turkeys, and capons for New Year's Eve meals flirt with salmon, seaweed, sweets, and chocolates from local producers. Relay of several other establishments, the orchards of the passion still propose tempting furnished baskets, provided with cider products...

Located right in front of the store Champion in Sainte-Address, Gilbert Damis has been able to take a seat among the major caterers in the Havre area. Large choice in store and available for weddings and all other receptions. Again, the benefit is high and impeccable.

Graine des Champs is a grocery store and a collective of over 50 producers and artisans from Normandy. Cédric Devienne, who initiated the project, offers for sale the organic products of his partners, all with exemplary traceability, from environmentally friendly production within a 50 km radius. You'll find fruit and vegetables, meats and cheeses, as well as teas and coffees supplied by local roasters. A wellness and homeware section offers a complete range of hygiene and cleaning products. Since 2018, Tiphaine and Stéphane's chocolate shop has been located in the town of Ouistreham. With your nose glued to the window, you give in to temptation: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, garnished chocolate... The range, made with Valrhona - the professional brand - and grands crus (pure Brazil, pure Madagascar), includes a variety of creations (mendiants, roses des sables, lollipops, tablettes, orangettes) and confectionery (fruit jellies, caramels, marshmallows). In addition to the chocolates, gourmets will also fall for the fine pastries.

In the heart of the Norman bocage, Sébastien and Nadège Guesdon welcome you to discover their products made in their cider farm where they harvest and distill the fruits of our orchards like their ancestors before them. You will find here the direct sale of cider and perry products, with free tasting. Finally, Sébastien Guesdon is a distiller: with his still, he perpetuates the tradition of making calvados from farm to farm.

À La Conscience du Sommelier has recently undergone a facelift, and the wine cellar is going strong! The new owner is determined to breathe new life into the cellar... sorry, a new wind! Since its inauguration on the day of the Beaujolais Nouveau, the cellar's projects have continued to multiply: first and second growths from our great wine regions, en primeur wines... This is an excellent place to indulge yourself while strolling through downtown Bernay.
