It's a sweet chocolate candy and crispy nougatine. Among the novelties are the ganache of New Guinea, new pralines, and Christmas chocolate with rose petals. Fromagerie Durand is not only the last Camembert producer in the eponymous commune, it's also one of the last farmhouse producers of Camembert PDO. A raw-milk, ladle-molded Camembert made from the milk of its cows. During your visit, you'll learn all about the making of this gourmet heir to Marie Harel's famous Normandy label. And let's face it, there's no such thing as "Camembert de Normandie AOP" (the only real one)! The boutique also sells other dairy products from the farm.

You don't have to go very far to get ultra-fresh fish downtown. In the heart of the Place du Vieux-Marché, under the covered market, among the tourists who stroll relentlessly, the refrigerated trucks shuttle very early to bring the Normandy coasts of fish caught in the night. From the refrigerated vats to the stalls, there is only one movement and here are the seafood products 100% made in Normandy elegantly displayed on the stalls. An unmissable seafood delicatessen!

The Saiter company, founded in 1887, is one of the local institutions. Six generations have succeeded one another behind the colourful stall, straight from the sea. We love it, especially as the family not only sells its fish and beautiful seafood but also creates recipes, such as ultra-fresh tartars or the famous Jeannette soup, invented by the grandmother of the same name in the 1960s and awarded several times. For a good dose of iodine!

The Établissement Meier was the perfect place for the chocolate maker. After long months of work, the Coudray Époux completely transformed the legendary address - very well known to all the Rouennais and all the passengers from the station - to make it a popular and popular address, but of another kind. For proof, this lovely tea lounge/space salad of midday, which benefits from a resolutely contemporary garden. Quality is also good here: breads, small furnaces, macaroons, so many different homemade products that recall the know-how of Yvonne, the grandmother of Emilie Coudray, a stylist in Rouen in between wars.
