The Karlsruhe Natural History Museum is one of the largest natural history museums in Germany. The permanent exhibitions cover an area of more than 5,000 m2. There are native and exotic animals from different regions of the world. Live animals are also part of the exhibitions. The Andrias giant salamander, a living fossil, is the museum's landmark. In addition to the permanent exhibitions, there are temporary exhibitions on a wide variety of topics, some of which are the results of current scientific research.

Discover Freiburg's Wasserschlössle. Perched above the Wiehre district in the Sternwald, this water tower, hidden since 1895, offers an enchanting view of eastern Freiburg. Karlsruhe Palace was built between 1715 and 1718. For around 200 years, it served as the residence and seat of government of the margraves, then the electors and grand dukes of Baden. The present Baroque design of the palace dates from the second half of the 18th century, after it had undergone various alterations and extensions, the plans for which were drawn up by Balthasar Neumann and brought to life by the architect Albrecht Friedrich von Kesslau, the former court director Bauten Baden and by his successor Wilhelm Jeremias Müller.

The Staatstheater Stuttgart is a theater with several halls for opera, ballet and drama. The former royal court theater was built between 1909 and 1912 and has an impressive interior, including the breathtaking fresco on the auditorium ceiling and marble busts of famous poets and composers on the first floor. The Nationaltheater Stuttgart hosts various classical performances throughout the year, making it a popular venue.

The Königsbau Passagen is a 5-storey shopping arcade with more than 70 stores, restaurants and offices. This 45,000 m² complex on Schlossplatz dates back to the mid-19th century and has 34 classical-style columns adorning the main entrance. It is built around a large inner courtyard with a glass roof. You are sure to find your happiness in this shopping center, from cameras, clothing and jewelry to chocolate, fresh produce and souvenirs, etc...

The Philosophenweg is a path that owes its name to the university professors of philosophy. Overlooking the Neckar and the Old Town, the path begins 200 meters after the Old Bridge. The first part of the trail, which runs along the river for about 1.5 kilometers, is not too physically difficult. We recommend that you wear good walking shoes, however, as the second part of the trail is more difficult.

The market square is the heart of Heidelberg's old town. There are many restaurants and small stores here, and it is particularly lively on Wednesdays and Saturdays when the market takes place. The Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart celebrates the automobile invented by Carl Benz in 1886. The museum tells the story of Carl Benz and the history of the automobile. They uncover more than 160 vehicles of all kinds, from some of the oldest automobiles ever built to legendary racing cars and futuristic research vehicles. Together with other exhibits, they form the heart of the permanent exhibition, which covers a total of 16,500 square meters in twelve rooms. This building stands on a rocky spur of the upper Rhine river area. An extraordinary jewel in the southwest Kaiserstuhl that impresses visitors by far. The construction of the abbatial church began in the twelfth century, in the Gothic era. Inside, a magnificent wooden retable of 1526 awaits visitors. The interior belongs to the most beautiful achievements of late Gothic in the upper Rhine basin. The painter Martin Schongauer painted a 100 square meter triptych fresco on the theme of the last judgment, restored between 1985 and 1993. From the outside, the view opens onto the Vosges, the Rhine plain and the Black Forest.

The Heiliggeistkirche (Church of the Holy Spirit) is the largest church in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It is located on the market square in the heart of the historic city center, not far from Heidelberg Castle. The Heiliggeistkirche was built between 1398 and 1515. The Palatinate Library was located inside. From 1706 to 1936, the interior of the church was divided into two parts by a wall. The choir was Catholic, the rest Protestant. Since 1936, the entire church has belonged to the Evangelical Church of Baden.

Explore the mystery of the Dreisamschaukel, a swing suspended between Schwabentorbrücke and Kaiserbrücke. Its origin is as bewitching as the experience of swinging your feet over the undulating Dreisam. Hanging mysteriously on the Mariensteg, this swing requires wet feet and a dose of balance on slippery stones. Who came up with the idea remains a mystery, but the Dreisamschaukel is recognized as the city's most beautiful swing.

The Wilhelma Botanical and Zoological Garden dates back to the middle of the 19th century and was originally a Moorish garden created for King Wilhelm I. Today it is one of the largest zoological and botanical gardens in Europe and is home to more than 1,000 animal species from all over the world, such as rhinos, flamingos, tigers and polar bears. The 280,000 m² botanical park also has tree-lined paths as well as buildings and greenhouses in the neo-Moorish style.

The Merkurbergbahn, also known as the Merkurbahn, is a meter-gauge funicular railroad. It leads up the Merkur mountain in Baden-Baden. Over a distance of 1,192 meters, it reaches a height of 370 meters. The route has a gradient of 23% to a maximum of 58%. The substation is located at 287 and the journey takes around five minutes. The MerkurBergbahn takes hikers, day trippers and nature lovers to the 668-metre-high summit of Baden-Baden's local mountain, the Merkur, every day.

A very romantic stroll through the city begins with the discovery of the Karl Theodor Bridge. This bridge crosses the Neckar in the northern part of the Old Town. This sandstone bridge, which consists of a series of 180-meter-long arches, is one of Heidelberg's most remarkable monuments and was built in 1788. This very picturesque pedestrian structure offers beautiful views and provides the opportunity to take wonderful photos of the Old Town. You can also lock a love lock on the railing and throw the key into the river.

Hauptstraße is an almost 2-kilometer-long pedestrian zone that crosses Heidelberg's Old Town from west to east. It is the main street of the Old Town and also the city's main shopping street. You can find almost everything in the Hauptstraße. There is even a kiosk where you can pick up books for free by handing in your old books to the next visitor. One of the sights not to be missed is the House of the Knight of St. George, a magnificent historic building facing south from the Church of the Holy Spirit.

Schlossplatz combines historical sites and museums with Stuttgart's trendy restaurants, bars and stores. This square is located in the city center. This 18th-century square is home to many landmarks, including the New Palace, the Jubilee Column of King Wilhelm I and the Württemberg National Museum. The Schlossplatz is a popular meeting place and the venue for major annual festivals, including the Stuttgart Wine Festival, the Summer Festival and the Christmas Market. Thanks to the pedestrian zones and green spaces, you can discover the district on foot.

Wehr's tourist office, located in a building adjoining the village hall on the town hall square, has recently been completely renovated and refurbished. The Frieder Burda Museum is an art museum in Baden-Baden, built according to the concept of architect Richard Meier. It was opened in October 2004 and is adjacent to the Kunsthalle Baden-Baden on Lichtentaler Allee. The Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe is the largest museum of history and civilization in Baden and one of the most active museums in Germany. A wide street stretches from the heart of Baden-Baden to the community of Lichtentaler and is one of the most beautiful in the city. According to legend, a connecting path between the town and the monastery of the Cistercian order (Lichtental Monastery) was laid out in 1655 and planted with oak trees. Along the river Oos, it offers you a wonderful two and a half kilometer walk. Your walk takes you along an old path dating back to the 17th century. The route also crosses a botanical park with more than 300 different species as well as other very charming small parks.

On the heights, the small village of Ötlingen welcomes all kinds of art works by artists from the region, such as an outdoor gallery. Since 2007, paintings and sculptures decorate the houses and courtyards of the village, giving it, in addition to its charming historical character, an additional attraction.
