Zelt Freiburg Music has appearances of circus, with its drawn up big tops, but the artists are not less true musical artists and of quality. It is besides the first festival to have initiated this kind of tents, by 1983. It is today one of the oldest festivals of the kind in Europe. Scheming in appearances, ZMF is as much in its programming. New talents, exceptionally gifted emergent, ghosts... Very eclectic programming and which speaks with all the generations. A festival which accommodates nearly 50 artists and 120,000 festival over about twenty days. To discover urgently!

Each year, for ten days, the town of Freiburg vibrates to the rhythm jazzy atmosphere. The international scene, the old and the news are found there. A festival in stage also shoots the school of jazz of Freiburg entering. The festival invades some parts of the city, like the Jazzhaus, cinema or E-Werk theater.

The Schlossberg Festival has been thrilling Freiburg for 40 years! From August 2 to 11, 2024, experience the excitement of this iconic celebration on the rooftops of Fribourg. With 30 bands, 4 live acts, 25 DJs and 59 artists, this edition promises to be a wild night. Dance the night away on 3 stages featuring rock, pop, folk, funk, Latin, reggae, soul and electro. As night falls, you'll be charmed by string lights for a romantic ambience. Food-trucks await you, with happy hour from 6:30pm to 7:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Explore the magic of Freiburg's Christmas market, a tradition since 1973. Advent lights up with twinkling garlands and enchanting window displays, transforming the city into a Christmas fairytale. Over 120 exhibitors invite you to discover a variety of treasures and delights. From mulled wine and handcrafted creations to Christmas cakes and traditional raclette, each stand offers a unique experience. Don't miss the breathtaking view from the Ferris wheel!

The cries of Gigili-Geister, witches and Mooswaldwiibli ring out, evoking the spirit of this carnival. For several days, the streets of Freiburg are transformed into a theater of color and laughter. The 34 carnival brotherhoods roam the city, decking the streets with extravagant costumes and sometimes terrifying masks. Confetti and sweets twirl, while brass bands and drums create a symphony of rhythms for this traditional festival.

Since 2011, Freiburg has decided to launch a big open-air stage in the whole city with more than 120 bands. A beautiful replica of our Fête de la Musique! It is the biggest participatory festival in the country. A real ode to urban culture. Mulhouse, in 2022, participated with a stage of Mulhouse musicians under the aegis of "Hopla Mulhouse". A few days before, during the French Music Festival, Freiburg artists also performed on a Mulhouse stage. A real demonstration of cross-border cooperation!

The Zelt Musik Festival bewitches music lovers from all horizons. Pop, rock, electro, jazz, hip-hop, classical: an exceptional musical diversity under the circus tents. Legends such as Nina Simone, B.B. King, Herbie Hancock, Patti Smith, Cypress Hill and James Brown have graced the ZMF stage. Over 45,000 festival-goers gather for this unique experience, and around 120,000 visitors come to feel the vibrant energy! The Zelt Musik Festival isn't just concerts, it's a warm and friendly atmosphere!

The Stimmen-Festival, understand the "festival of the voices", is a great name of the summer in the region of Basle.
