Renowned for being home to one of the three cooperative cellars in the south of the Côte Chalonnaise, the village of Genouilly offers gently rolling landscapes of vines and hedged farmland, not forgetting the forest that leads us, in the direction of Collonges-en-Charollais, to a geological curiosity, a veritable "Sea of Stone", a most impressive granite chaos. Also to be seen, the Romanesque church, a four-arched stone bridge over the Guye river, remains of charitable works such as a 16th century fountain reserved for lepers and a former leprosarium. The commune is very dynamic and has a Maison du Terroir with activity rooms, a library and a room with a hundred seats where films are shown and shows are organised.
