The small town of Cormatin is located on the road to Cluny not far from Saint Gengoux le National. A small town full of charm, which nevertheless welcomes many tourists passionate about history and old stones, who come to visit its historical heritage, including the fabulous 17th century Renaissance-style castle with its French-style park. Not far away, a beautiful Romanesque church in the hamlet of Chazelle. This early 12th century church, whose nave has been extensively rebuilt, has kept intact its slender bell tower and apse topped with lava. To see inside, at the threshold of the big door, the engraved tombstone of a monk from Cluny. The commune is crossed by the Grosne river and bordered by the green way. Tourists looking for peace and quiet and bucolic holidays will come and pitch their tent at the village campsite.
