Travel Guide Vigoleno

Ranked among the most beautiful towns in Italy, Vigoleno is surrounded by an imposing wall whose parapet walk allows you to enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding valley. The only access to the village is dominated by a dungeon inside which you can visit a photographic exhibition dedicated to the history and architecture of Vigoleno. The Pieve di San Giorgio (12th century) is the oldest church in the province of Piacenza and is an outstanding example of Romanesque architecture. Inside there is a 15th century fresco of St. George's fight against the dragon. Converted into a luxury hotel, the castle is not open to the public.
