Grazzano Visconti is a neo-medieval village built in the 20th century by Duke Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone, surrounded by the fields of the Po Valley and the vineyards of the Piacenza hills. He transformed the old farmhouses around the Visconti castle into refined neo-Gothic residences. The town, which is closed to traffic, is made up of charming alleys dotted with workshops where the tradition of wrought iron work is perpetuated. The decorative objects, made in a traditional way, are exposed and sold. In May and September, the village becomes an exceptional setting for many medieval performances.
