30 km south of Piacenza, in the green setting of the Vezzeno Valley, this picturesque village is dominated by a magnificent castle located on a rocky spur at the entrance to the village. Gropparello is a popular stop for families: at the Parco delle Fiabe, in the castle garden, children, dressed as knights, can immerse themselves in the Middle Ages, its tales and legends, and meet fairies and trolls. Meanwhile, the older ones sit at the tavern. During the whole season, medieval festivals animate the village.
