CASTELLO DI GRAZZANO VISCONTI
Castle haunted by the ghost of Aloisa, wife of an army captain
The castle was built in 1395 by Giovanni Anguissola and his wife Beatrice Visconti, sister of the lord of Milan. Legend has it that it was haunted by the ghost of Aloisa, wife of an army captain, who, betrayed by her husband, died of pain. One day, the ghost of Aloisa showed herself to Duke Giuseppe, took his hand and guided him to draw her portrait. It is her who is represented in several sculptures in Grazzano; she is considered the protector of lovers.
