Situated on Via Emilia, between Parma and Piacenza, a former stage of the Franchigena road, Fidenza is famous for its magnificent cathedral built between the th and th centuries in Gothic style. The most interesting part is the facade. The central porch features a beautiful sculpted decoration of Benedetto Antelami. The three portals are decorated with lions, according to the decorative tradition of L'Emilie.
