On the outskirts of Villafranca del Bierzo, along the banks of the river Valcarce, lies this tiny village of about 40 inhabitants, which has preserved part of its medieval layout. There are traces of its existence from the beginning of the 12th century, in a text that mentions the donation of the town to the municipality of Cebreiro by the queen, a donation that continued until the 19th century. Its tiny church, dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene, is worth a visit. It has a beautiful baroque altarpiece. If it is not open, try to ask a local for the key, if you can find one, as the village is quite sleepy.
