Porto Pollo was originally a natural shelter to protect boats from westerly winds, and has been an anchorage point since the 16th century. Today, it's a discreet seaside resort with a very pleasant, confidential atmosphere. Porto Pollo has a year-round population of around 500 and a number of fine establishments offering accommodation, activities and restaurants. The Mare è Monti Sud trail runs through the area, and there are numerous mountain bike trails, not to mention all the water sports on offer. For pleasure and discovery, don't miss the Tanchiccia lake at the entrance to the village.
