This small town, considered the "capital of trulli ", is surprising. Listed as a World Heritage Site since 1996, it seems to have come straight out of a film set, because here the trulli are counted in their hundreds, forming a village. Since 1996, tourism has increased steadily and the atmosphere has changed: the trulli have been converted into restaurants, hotels and souvenir shops selling typical products of the region. At the height of summer, the atmosphere turns into a bit of an amusement park, but the charm of the small conical roofs continues to operate in these steep streets. You will come out of your visit seduced, despite its caricatured side.
