Nestled in a beautifully restored traditional trulli house, you can sit under the vaults or on the veranda facing the vegetable garden where the owners pick the vegetables in front of you. Short circuit guaranteed! The welcome is warm and humble, and the decoration, with its menus and quotes written directly on the walls, contributes to this enveloping atmosphere. One feels good at Terra Madre and the cuisine, multi-vitamin and delicately cooked, is a parade of flavours.

A reference in the field of restoration. In the town area, very close to Piazza del Popolo, in a superb setting, a trullo with a vaulted room in exposed stone, sober and elegant. The cuisine is refined, generous and regional, it offers a beautiful overview of the typical products of the region: Martina Franca's capocollo, burrata, orecchiette, traditional fave e cicoria (bean purée and chicory). Good grilled meats and homemade desserts. Efficient and friendly service. Very good value for money for Alberobello.

In the trulli area, in the heart of Rione Monti, a tourist but well-kept table. The chef Domenico Laera offers a classic local cuisine, made with products and raw materials from local suppliers. On the menu, there are assortments of regional cold meats and cheeses, fish from the Adriatic Sea, grilled or filleted meats and various pasta dishes such as the orecchiette al ragù di frizzl, a pasta dish from the peasant tradition based on local pancetta.

A place that sounds a bit like its name: poetic and authentic, with a touch of elegance that reminds us that the peasant poet is also the prince of savoir-vivre. A rather picky and upscale clientele for a restaurant with an unshakeable reputation. Try pasta recipes or gnocchi with beans, asparagus and black truffle.
