White building with a lauze roof, built just after the independence granted by the king in 1797.

The house of Francesco D'Amore, first mayor of Alberobello in 1797, is a white building with a slate roof, like the trulli. It was built just after the independence granted by the king in 1797, which freed the inhabitants from the domination of the Counts of Conversano and allowed them to build their houses as they wished, no longer exclusively in dry stone. As a challenge to the past, the mayor had his house built using mortar. Today the Casa d'Amore houses the headquarters of the Ministry of Tourism.

Casa d'Amore est un trulli mais le mieux c'est quand même de déambuler le soir avec les lumières dans les rues ...

Une des plus belles Trullo de la ville. Vous passerez dans tout les cas devant et vous pourrez admirer cette demeure. La visite du vieux quartier vaut le coup d'oeil.

Je vous conseille de visiter la ville le matin afin d'éviter la chaleur et les groupes de touristes :-)
