Nestled off the coastal road between Klungkung and Amlapura, the port of Padangbai invites you to a picturesque getaway. Take a pleasant detour to Tengandin and follow the winding two-kilometer road down to the sea. There, you'll discover the ferry port, surrounded by a vast parking lot. Just beyond, the village nestles in a small bay, protected to the east by Cape Sari.Padangbai, like Kusamba, is home to a significant Muslim community and remains a preferred departure point for ferries to Lombok. Many travelers choose this port as a springboard for an early-morning departure for the neighboring island of Lombok.Descend to the bottom of the hill to the south-west to reach Pantai Kecil, one of the area's charming little beaches where a few peaceful warungs nestle. Along the bay, admire the prahu or jukung, the traditional boats, patiently waiting on the sand for the perfect moment to go fishing.
