After Kerobokan, to the northwest lies Canggu. Now a hipster 's paradise, Canggu is also a great playground: you can laze on the beaches of Batu Bolong or Echo Beach without being overrun by tourists, and you can get lost in the streets while strolling through unspoilt rice fields. But beware, development is very rapid and the landscape is likely to change soon. In the meantime, beautiful boutiques, wellness hotels and fine dining make Canggu one of the best destinations in the south of the island. Not so long ago, Canggu was a collection of rice paddies; today, it offers a wide range of accommodation.
