The Rolling Stones in the Faroes! Oyndarfjørður (one of the oldest Faroese villages) has the male name Oyvindur. It seems to be lost at the end of the world, yet the first written sources mention the place from the beginning of the 14th century, probably earlier. Just at the entrance of this small village of 139 inhabitants, before the harbor, you have to stop for a moment to watch a phenomenon that has always fascinated: rinkusteinar, rocks that roll under the effect of the current. The effect is all the more striking when the sea is rough. The two wobbly stones, surrounded by seaweed, connected by a chain or a rope, are amazing.
