An island southwest of Eysturoy, 2.5 km long, dominated by a 477 m high mountain, and inhabited by a family of farmers... Nothing very original, even if one can appreciate the total isolation and the silence of the place, very unusual in our time. Some visitors drag their hiking shoes here to discover this farm classified as a historical monument where the owners are happy to welcome you. And then, it is the occasion to taste the local ham, this famous mutton dried in the huts with claires-voies, served on a slice of buttered bread. The Queen of Denmark even wished to stop here almost 300 years after Frederic VII.
