Mykines is the most western island of the archipelago, known as a paradise for birds, especially puffins, symbols of the Faroes. Many tourists embark in summer to this rock with multiple promises. The small boat that makes the crossing makes a big detour, which allows to admire this mountain on the water, because the bay where the pier is located is at the other end of the island. In winter, few boats pass through there. The helicopter then becomes the means of supply of the inhabitants (they are about fifty in summer, hardly fifteen in winter). Enchanting, Mykines is becoming the first attraction of the Faroes.
