Travel Guide Montfermy

Montfermy, it's kind of the end of the world! Or at least one of the few places in the region that deserve to be called that. Enclosed by the Sioule gorges, the place is magical. Its surprising configuration may have something to do with it: the high village stretches inside a meander almost closed by the intrepid river. Here, the Sioule traces an S in its wake, whose second loop is closed by a pretty waterfall, a few minutes walk from the village. The area is popular with strollers, picnickers, walkers and fishermen. And for the most curious, the Romanesque church houses some very beautiful and ancient frescos.
