Vorey (1,500 inhabitants), which in its long form is called Vorey-sur-Loire, enjoys such a pleasant climate that its inhabitants sometimes call it the little Nice of the Haute-Loire. This large town at the crossroads of the Santiago de Compostela route via Le Puy-en-Velay and two GR routes is the place where many hikers pass through.
