Once a small village, it has expanded its new quarters along the communication axes. Some of the quarries surrounding it are still active. Others have been transformed into gardens or orchards, creating new and curious landscapes. Built in 1689, Notre-Dame de l'Assomption was bombed in 1942 and the paintings that were there are forever lost, although it was quickly restored. Not far away, the small church of Saint-Basile, dating from the 16th century, has retained its medieval style. At the exit of the village, in the direction of Qrendi, stands the Wilga Tower.
