Set back from the cliffs, this pretty little village is home to some beautiful houses belonging to wealthy Maltese who have found the most picturesque spots. Architectural fantasy runs wild here: colonnades, corbels, balustrades galore, and the aptly named Villa Precious, with its modest Roman palace simplicity, rivals Sayonara, just next door. You'll have to walk to get to the cliffs, as the road stops short of them. But you'll be treated to a landscape of clear gulfs and turquoise reflections, with no real beach but guaranteed tranquillity.
