This rural commune is nestled in the hollow of the Mont d'Annoisin, the Mollard Foedé, the Mollard d'Hières and the Mont Saint-Didier on the plateau of Isle-Crémieu. It is very large - more than 13 km2- since it is the result of the merger of the communes of Annoisin, facing Crémieu, and Chatelans, facing the valley of Amby. This small village with its scattered hamlets has kept many of its houses made of golden stones extracted from its quarries still in use. The Notre-Dame church has a surprising octagonal bell tower. The small heritage is also the richness of the village with many bread ovens, wash houses and crosses
