4 km north of Le Teil, this medieval village overlooking the Rhone is one of the Villages of Character in the Ardèche. Take advantage of the car park near the church. Discover a gothic house with double mullioned windows, the Tournelles gate with its watchtower and the feudal houses nestling against the ramparts. Go up along the calades to Notre-Dame-des-Anges, a 13th-century Provencal Gothic chapel, before reaching the castle district, a remarkable ensemble with a sophisticated hydraulic system. We like the Himalayan footbridge of the ViaRhôna cycle route which uses the piers of the old Rochemaure suspension bridge.
