Oberhausbergen is famous for its hill, very frequented by walkers. Fort Ulrich is one of the best preserved sites in Europe, dating from the end of the 19th century (part of the German fortified belt of Strasbourg, built in 1872). In 1871, Prussian engineers planned to build a belt of 14 detached forts, about 33 kilometers long, 4 to 8 kilometers from the city walls and 1,500 to 4,400 meters apart. The fort is accessible only on guided tours. A green belt is preserved to the west, ideal for walking.
