Les Trois-Moutiers is named after three former parishes: Saint-Hilaire, Saint-Pierre and Notre-Dame. Only a few of these medieval priories remain. The commune also boasts four dolmens and a menhir, all of which are listed as Monuments Historiques. Take a stroll along the dolmen trail to admire these remains of the Neolithic period. The village is also home to one of the Vienne's last remaining windmills, with its 19th-century pivoting roof. There are also several large châteaux. And underground, quarries have become troglodytic caves where mushrooms and wine can be harvested.
