Picturesquely perched on a rocky hillside (Mount Scobrith), in the image of old feudal villages, the village of Saint-Viaud is worth a visit. On some side of it we have to climb very steep coasts to reach the summit. But the view of the church, on the countryside, Paimbœuf, Donges, Saint-Nazaire, the mouth of the Loire, is worth a detour and quickly forgets that little ascent. At the other end of the plateau, from the tomb of the calvary (on which a large cross is made of the masts of a ship), where also dominates, to the east, a vast expanse of countries to Frossay, Cordemais and, in clear time, to Saint-Etienne-de-Montluc and Savenay. Saint Vital or Viau is a patron of this country.
