Between the Masse and Thèze rivers, you will enter the homeland of cyclist Laurent Roux and trompe-l'oeil painter Jean-Pierre Verneuil. You will find them in private homes, restaurants and wine cellars throughout the valley. Goujounac has also given its name to an endemic variety of chestnuts: the Goujounac chestnut, mainly used in canning. This small village is built with the typical golden stone of the region, which gives the village its golden colour. Admire the carved tympanum of the 12th century church where Christ in majesty appears between the symbols of the evangelists.
