Frayssinet-le-Gelat is an obligatory stopover between Fumel in the Lot-et-Garonne and Gourdon, and close to the Dordogne. It is distinguished by the Thèze stream and its Moulin Bas lake, where anglers like to spend their time, as well as families picnicking, swimming or enjoying the riverside guinguette. The church of Sainte-Radegonde features a porch with a round tower, a Romanesque apse and relics of Saint Loup. In May 1944, German soldiers killed several local residents suspected of belonging to an important resistance group: a monument has been erected in honor of the victims of Nazi barbarism.
