Located on the GR62B linking Conques and Toulouse, Firmi benefits from a remarkable natural environment with the puy du Wolf, a massif made of serpentine exploited since the Middle Ages, a dark green rock which was used to build the cloister basin of the Sainte-Foy de Conques abbey. The Puy du Wolf is also part of the Natura 2000 network, with its biodiversity of nearly 150 animal species. A path, open from May to October, allows you to discover aromatic and medicinal plants. It is also in the village of Firmi that one of the first blast furnaces in France was installed for the manufacture of rails.
