The commune of Massegros-Causses-Gorges is the result of the merger of Massegros, Vignes, Recoux, Saint-Rome-de-Dolan and Saint-Georges-de-Lévéjac. This picture-postcard territory on the banks of the Tarn boasts a rich heritage and architecture of vaulted ceilings, stonework and bridges. Between the Causse de Sauveterre and the Gorges du Tarn, it boasts a number of jewels, such as the Détroits and the Point Sublime, among its twenty or so hamlets. The commune stretches upwards, rising 500 m above sea level, so you can admire more of the region and its beauty. Another not-to-be-missed detour is the Causse de Sauveterre, a vast limestone plateau.
