The village of Saint-Beauzély is built around the church and consists of beautiful houses of sandstone. Located on the Roman road connecting Lodeve to Rodez, the city has built over the ages. Many buildings illustrate these different eras. No less than 8 dolmens and a menhir testify to the occupation of places during prehistory. A collection of Gallo-Roman temples recalls the passage of travellers to the city. The ford, the bridge and the medieval castle attest to the region's recognition of the region for its sandstone quarries. Saint Beauzély was nicknamed the country of stone cutters.
