The commune of Comprégnac includes the rupestrian hamlet of Peyre, classified as one of the "ten most beautiful villages of the Aveyron", and leaning against the tufa cliff. Most of the houses are troglodytic and open their facades to the river below. The village has something of the Mediterranean about it, the narrow stone streets are full of flowers and in summer the village is a haven of coolness. A troglodytic church with a Romanesque base from the 11th century, fortified in the 17th century, can be seen in the heart of the village. Free visit in summer from 8 am to 6 pm. This unusual site, carved into the wall, now offers a unique view of the Millau Viaduct.
