This village on the banks of the Marne and the Ourcq canal boasts a 19th-century château in the neo-Louis XIII style and a waterworks built under Napoleon III. It was in the château de Trilbardou that General Gallieni set up camp in September 1914 to lead the offensive against von Kluck's German army, which included a call for Marne cabs. Since 1956, the château has been occupied by a vacation center. The waterworks, responsible for raising water from the Marne to the canal, is a listed historic monument and is open to visitors. This is an opportunity for even the youngest visitors to discover how this little-known equipment works!
