Thanks to the railroad, this village on the banks of the Seine was a popular place for fishermen and impressionist painters in the 19th century. In the second half of the 19th century, Colombes became an industrial city and was covered with pavilions and social housing. A stadium and the Pierre-Lagravère park were built there.
