Sellières, crossed by the Brenne river, marks the transition between Revermont and Bresse. A peaceful town, it is known as a Petite Cité comtoise de caractère. The Porte d'Amont remains from the wall that once protected the town. In the 18th century, it was altered and incorporated into the Hôtel de Crécy. Today's town hall and school were once cavalry barracks built by Louis XIV for the annexation of Franche-Comté.The halles (covered market) housed an important grain market. Worth a visit: the Baudin forge masters' trail and museum. At the apple festival, held every October, you can discover Sellièro's specialities: fruit juices and ciders.
